Family-owned and operated Schuler Security, based in Marmora, NJ, seeks a full-time Home Security System Salesperson. .

Schuler Security provides peace of mind to residential and commercial customers in Cape May and Atlantic Counties; we install and monitor burglar, fire and low temp alarms, cameras, Wi-Fi, TV, phone, network wiring, smart thermostats and more to create an intelligent home.

We seek a tech-savvy salesperson who can think on their feet, learn quickly and sell the many services offered by Schuler Security. These services are primarily home security systems (Total Connect™ experience a plus) but add-on sales opportunities include:

TV set-up
SONOS installation
Ring installation
Surround Sound installation
Card Access installation
Universal Remote programming
Wi-Fi network set-up
Bluetooth device programming
Total Connect™ experience a plus

This is a full time position that offers competitive pay, great benefits, and opportunity for growth. This is not an entry level position; minimum two years' experience required.

The Home Security System Salesperson will be expected but not limited to perform the following duties:

Promptly return all inbound sales calls; place outbound hot, warm and cold calls; promptly reply to text and email inquiries; send outbound texts to hot, warm and cold leads; promptly handle and resolve phone calls, texts and emails related to sales and installation issues
Provide elite customer service
Work with owner to properly create sales estimates and installation timelines

Applying candidates must have a clean driving record and be able to work on their feet, in an office environment and in the field in various types of environments (confined spaces, construction sites, residential houses and garages, etc.).

This position entails the use of a company vehicle and may require working nights and weekends as well as outside of the office hours of Monday through Friday 8 – 4:30

Set up TVs
Install SONOS
Install Ring
Install CCTV
Install Surround Sound
Install CardAccess
Program universal remotes
Set up Wi-Fi networks
Program Bluetooth devices

The AV Technician will be expected but not limited to perform the following:

Cable and wiring installation (in commercial and residential settings; i.e. open construction, etc.)
Networking
Test and resolve equipment issues

We seek an experienced Alarm Installer/Technician with:

Knowledge of installation, programming and ability to troubleshoot systems
Experience with major brands/automated and addressable systems/access/controls/CCTV

Installations require running and pulling wires/cables, programming, following codes, regulations and standards. You must be able to:

Verify all system functions by testing all equipment, connections and signals
Identify and correct any issues that arise
Document all aspects of installation for future maintenance

The Alarm Technician will be expected to:

Own and proficiently use hand tools/volt ohm meter )
Be available for inclusion in our on-call service rotation (additional compensation)

Computer competency a plus

We seek an experienced, highly motivated Alarm Service Technician for a rapidly growing burglar and fire alarm department who can:

Verify security/fire alarm system functionality by testing equipment, connections and signals; identify and correct problems; maintain records by documenting service performed or needed
Maintain customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions
Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keep security information confidential
Inspect/test fire alarm systems pursuant to acceptable codes and standards
Bring experience in Honeywell, Napco, DSC, SilentKnight and Fire-Lite systems; has the ability to program a panel
